At Shasta County Independent Study, chronic absenteeism has been essentially flat over the 5-year window — from 0.0% in 2017 to 12.2% in 2020. The gap vs US average of ~28% has narrowed — from 28.0% below in 2017 to 15.8% below in 2020.
